Choral Program

The Academie offers three choirs to meet the needs of growing voices. New students will audition to determine acceptance and proper choir placement and balance. The choirs work in the Fall semester to present a Fall concert in November. In the Spring all the choirs focus on preparing selections for a dinner theatre late in the semester.

Auditions may be scheduled by contacting the Vocal Director, Shelley Dennis, through emailing sdennis@amcentex.org or through the office. Students must participate in their school choir, if possible, to participate in Academie Musique choirs.

Jubilate Children’s Show Choir

*Jubilate will not take place in Fall 2026. Please check back for the spring*

For boys and girls ages 8-12 years

Director: Ms. Emily Baker
Cost: $310 per semester (includes registration) as of Fall 2026

Every Tuesday, 5:00-5:45pm

Cantate Women’s Show Choir

For teen girls ages 12-18 years (Cantate and Maestoso will be combined into Presto Teen Choir for the foreseeable future)

Cost: $310 per semester (includes registration) as of Fall 2026

Maestoso Men’s Show Choir

For teen boys ages 12-18 years (Cantate and Maestoso will be combined into Presto Teen Choir for the foreseeable future)

Adagio Adult Show Choir

For ages 16+

Director: Ms. Shelley Dennis

Cost: $50

Every Thursday, 6:30-7:30pm
