Registration Procedure

To establish private lessons or ensemble involvement, please contact the office via email (director@amcentex.org) with your interest and student information (name, age, instrument).  The division director will contact you via email and discuss private teacher options.  After you have secured a private teacher, the teacher will give you the password to the registration tab for online registration.  You will fill out a registration form per child. The completed registration form will be sent to us in an email. The office staff will enter it into Quickbooks with the discounts available to you and email the invoice to you for all in your family. At that time, you can pay online through Quickbooks using a Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or bank draft or bring in payment by check or cash to the office. It does benefit the Academie to pay with check or cash, however, we will accept MC, Visa or Discover.

You are able to make payments throughout the semester. Please indicate on the registration form if you desire to pay in 1, 2, 3 or 4 installments so we can notate it properly on your invoice. After a payment is received either through Quickbooks or in the office, then you are officially “registered” for the semester and can begin classes.

Recital Policies, Accompaniment Fees:

Student recitals are offered 3-4 times a semester.  Private teachers will decide when students are ready to perform.  We have informal and formal recitals for beginner and more advanced students.  Students only perform 1 piece on a recital.  If they play multiple instruments, they will need to perform on different recitals.

Private teachers will facilitate the matching of accompanists with students for recitals and competitions.  The private teacher will set up a rehearsal time with an available accompanist.  If the student does not come to the agreed upon time, the student forfeits the rehearsal.  It will be the responsibility of the family to pay for the missed rehearsal fee and the rescheduled rehearsal fee.  The private teacher will be present for the rehearsal.

The accompanist fee will be billed through the online invoice system at the rate of $40/hour.  A separate invoice will be sent to the family for accompanist rehearsals.  We will combine children onto 1 invoice if at all possible.  You can pay with a credit card or with cash or check.  It benefits the Academie when you chose cash or check.

Local contests:  $40/hour for rehearsal, $25 for competition

State Competition (out of town) is $45/hour + travel expenses . This rate will be increased at the discretion of the private teacher if the piece is extremely difficult, and will be discussed with the student and parent on an individual basis.
