Choral Program

The Academie offers three choirs to meet the needs of growing voices. New students will audition to determine acceptance and proper choir placement and balance. The choirs work in the Fall semester to present a Fall concert in November. In the Spring all the choirs focus on preparing selections for a dinner theatre late in the semester.

Auditions may be scheduled by contacting the Vocal Director, Shelley Dennis, through emailing sdennis@amcentex.org or through the office. Students must participate in their school choir, if possible, to participate in Academie Musique choirs.

Jubilate Children’s Choir

For boys and girls ages 8-12 years

Director: Ms. Emily Baker
Cost: $275 per semester (includes registration)

Every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30pm

Attire for concerts:
Ladies: Black skirt/slacks, white dress blouses
Men: Black slacks, white dress shirt.

Cantate Womens Choir

For teen girls ages 12-18 years (Spring 25 Cantate and Maestoso will be combined into Presto Teen Choir)

Director:  Mrs. Shelley Dennis
Cost: $275 per semester (includes registration)

Every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30pm

Attire for concerts:
Fall: Black formal concert dress
Spring dinner theatre:  Black slacks/skirts, tops, black shoes

Maestoso Mens Choir

For teen boys ages 12-18 years (Spring 25 Cantate and Maestoso will be combined into Presto Teen Choir)

Cost:  $275 per semester (includes registration)
