Name: Katherine Clark Position: Student Piano Teacher
Education: Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (I graduate May 7th)
How long have you been in Temple/Belton? Where did you live before Temple/Belton?
I have lived in Belton for the past four years while going to school. I lived in Round Rock previously.
Musical experience: I have been playing the piano for sixteen years and have enjoyed being part of the UMHB wind ensemble, Concert Choir, and Women’s Chorus. I play for Temple First Church of the Nazarene on Sunday mornings and previously played at HighPointe Baptist Church in Austin before I came to the area. I have been teaching for around 3 years.
Hobbies/Interests: I love working out, swing dancing, rollerblading, being outside and observing nature, and spending time with friends and family.
Family life: I have two brothers and one sister and one niece. My parents and sister still live in Round Rock, my oldest brother in Abeline, and my other brother in Austin, so I still get to see everyone often.
Favorite quote: A quote I like is, “Small progress is still progress.”
Favorite musical work: One of my favorites is Maurice Ravel’s Une Barque sur L’Ocean
Pet peeves: People making fun of others
Favorite food: Mangos Favorite color: maroon
Funny or strange personal story or experience: I used to have pet rats, and because of a mix up at the pet store, ended up with 39 unintentionally because we were given two males and two females instead of all males. They mated and had babies. We kept them all for a while and eventually had to get rid of them when we moved.
